G’day Surfers – There’s something about Thursdays……… I have a confession to make: The Sandman made me some pips!

Yesterday’s Report
This is a tough one to call guys……let me explain: Last week we placed an order on H1 and some subscribers were confused by our strategy of closing orders after 4 x M30 candles, which was designed for trades taken on M30 charts. The H1 order last week, if kept open after the 2hrs, went to target – we didn’t claim it due to the confusion. We decided that the following would apply to Intraday Signals: If called on M30 – order cancels after 4 x M30 candles. If called on H1 – order cancels after 4 x H1 candles. S&R signals to be updated as normal and cancelled by the trader making the order. That’s perfectly clear so no problem with yesterday’s order right?…………hmm hmm – not quite. You see the trader who calls the order, manages the trade & yesterday – that was ME. After one & a half H1 candles, I fell asleep on the job!!! You can imagine the start with which I awoke to discover Price Action had travelled to MY TP2 to the pip!! Now to be fair – the signal I sent was our normal TP2 of +25 or 1st R/S so I think we can settle on the 25 pips as TP2. Now for TP1…… not knowing where the spike took place and therefore what TP1 was available. On my broker, the second candle after entry bottomed at 1.3336 (7 pips below entry) so I needed better than 7 pips of TP1 to keep me in the trade………see my dilemma??
Here’s what we’re going to do, it’s called FRIDAY FX JURY DUTY and you are the Judge & Jury. Your Case is to vote for the most appropriate entry into our trading record by selecting either of the below options:
A) Claim a break even trade – you were asleep you dummy       B) Claim TP1 + 8 & TP2 +25 – it’s probably what happened     C) Claim +50 as combined TP1 & 2 – that’s what YOU got
Please vote by replying A, B or C to this email & CC: admin@surfingthepips.com . The judges decision will be final and posted for all to see. (Voting closes @ Noon CET)
In case you were interested – EUR/USD made not quite the massive break I was expecting, but it did evade the hungry wolves below as we imagined it might. Our Resistance Trendline caught it beautifully (nice & technical – makes me happy).
Technical Analysis

After the big case above – do you REALLY care on no trade Friday??
The Day Ahead

Australia’s National day tomorrow as we “celebrate” the arrival of the British First Fleet at a pretty decent part of the world that became known as Sydney Cove which today, is part of one of the World’s beautiful harbours. So no thoughts of trading but a little reflection on what it means to be an Aussie…….that’s right, a beer & a barbie………PERFECT!
In keeping with Oz Day, I offer the insight of a true Australian whose ways would have this country (and the World), a far, far better place:
We cultivated our land, but in a way different from the white man. We endeavoured to live with the land; they seemed to live off it Tom Dystra – Aboriginal man

Have a great weekend everyone – and don’t forget to VOTE!!
